Milan vs Spezia, probable lineups

AC Milan host Spezia at San Siro today. The Rossoneri want to continue the winning streak despite the many absences.

AC Milan will host Spezia at San Siro on today, at 18:30 CET. The new year has started in great form for the Rossoneri with three victories in three matches but, for Milan vs Spezia, coach Stefano Pioli will continue to have a number of important players unavailable.

Fikayo Tomori’s return with Genoa lasted only a few minutes. The English defender suffered a muscle injury and will stay out for one month. Once again, Matteo Gabbia and Pierre Kalulu will form the central duo with Alessandro Florenzi and Theo Hernandez completing the back four. Mike Maignan between the posts.

The one-match suspension of Sandro Tonali, and the absence of Kessie and Bennacer, leaves Pioli with practically no choices in midfield. Tiemoue Bakayoko will partner with Rade Krunic. An untested duo that will have a lot of responsibility for Milan vs Spezia.

After a rest in the Coppa Italia, Rafel Leao will start from the first minute against Spezia. The flamboyant Portuguese winger will play on the left with Alexis Saelemaekers on the right and Brahim Diaz in the attacking midfielder role. Ibrahimovic returns to play from the start despite Giroud’s great appearance against Genoa.

AC MILAN (4-2-3-1): Maignan, Florenzi, Kalulu, Gabbia, Theo Hernandez; Bakayoko, Krunic, Saelemaekers, Brahim Diaz, Leao, Ibrahimovic.

SPEZIA (4-4-1-1): Provedel, Aiman, Erlic, Nikolau, Reca, Kovalenko, Sala, Bastoni, Gyasi, Verde, Nzola.
