Pedro Guilherme | Fluminese

Italian media reports today that technical director has been so impressed by Pedro Guilherme that he wants to bring the 21 year old centre forward at San Siro already in January. The Fluminese star has a 50 million euros release clause but Globoesporte reports that he can leave for half of that figure.

Despite his young age, Pedro Guilherme was top scorer of Campeonato Carioca in 2018. The young Brazilian scored 19 goals in 37 appearances and earned his first call-up with the Brazilian national team.

Real Madrid, Sevilla and Roma are also interested in Pedro but AC Milan can rely on technical director Leonardo. The Rossoneri currently have only two strikers in their squad so a third one must be added in the winter transfer window. Pedro Guilherme would be the ideal player for coach Gattuso.

Rodrigo Caio | Sao Paulo

The 25 year old centre back Rodrigo Caio is the only defender in this list. The talented Brazilian player is one of the best known figures in the domestic league. He has an Italian passport and for some times has been linked with a big move to Europe.

The Olympic golden medalist is an old target of former sporting director Massimiliano Mirabelli but the Rossoneri failed to close at deal at the time. At the age of 25 he is at the height of his maturity and has an economic 18 million release clause.

Even though at the moment AC Milan’s defensive department seems complete, recently there have been rumors about the possible departure of Cristian Zapata. If the Colombian defender leaves in January or next summer Rodrigo Caio would be the perfect replacement.

Rodrigo Dourado | Internacional

Another Olympic golden medalist. Rodrigo Dourado is the metronome of Internacional and has played over 180 games with the Brazilian giants.

The highly-rated 24 year old defensive midfielder was also a target of Liverpool and Manchester United in the past. He was close to joining the Red Devils for 20 million euros two years ago but it all failed.

Rodrigo Dourado has a price tag of 8-10 million euros and could be a cheap alternative for the midfield in case Leonardo fails to land one of his other primary targets (read here).

Pedrinho | Corinthians

The 20 year old winger has become a regular starter for Corinthians and in the last two seasons has 54 appearances scoring 4 goals. Pedrinho is the latest Brazilian youngster being compared to compatriot Neymar Jr.

Pedrinho is a very versatile player and can act as left winger, right winger or attacking midfielder. He is notorious for his speed and great dribbling skills.

Many expect the youngster to shine in Europe in the future. Corinthians for the moment hold him tight and have slapped a 40 million euros price tag. Any club interested in Pedrinho, AC Milan included, will have to pay a big fee for his services.

Lucas Paqueta | Flamengo

Flamengo president during the summer confirmed that the Rossoneri were close to signing him and went as far as to state that “I expect Lucas Paqueta to join AC Milan very soon for 50 million euros“. Indeed the old ownership had signaled the 21 year old Paqueta as a top target but even Leonardo is now working to bring at San Siro the talented attacking midfielder.

The very technically skilled Lucas Paqueta has a 50 million euros release clause and is a target of many other European top clubs. The Rossoneri scouts have been impressed by his dribbling capabilities and finesse and have recommended his name even to the new management.

AC Milan technical director Leonardo started his football career with Flamengo and still has a great relationship with his former club and president Eduardo de Mello. The Brazilian director aims to use his infinite credibility he enjoys in his homeland and hopes to close a deal before the opening of the winter transfer window.
