AC Milan agree terms with 25m-rated Argentine striker

AC Milan have reportedly agreed personal terms with Argentine striker Julian Alvarez. The River Plate star has a release clause of 25 million euros.

River Plate striker Julian Alvarez is taking Argentine football by storm. The 21-year-old has scored 11 goals and provided 6 assists in 14 appearances so far. Excellent numbers for a player who is proving he can play both as centre forward despite being only 1.70 m tall.

The young River Plate star is attracting the attention of many with his great performances. Clubs from England, Germany and Spain are monitoring his situation but AC Milan are reportedly leading the race for his services.

The contract situation of Alvarez makes him a very appealing option for many clubs. The current deal of the Argentine international expires on 31 December 2022. The striker has refused to renew his contract with River Plate with his agent recently confirming that Europe is the next destination of Alvarez.

According to reports from TodoFichajes, Bayer Leverkusen and Aston Villa have contacted the Argentine sensation but Julian Alvarez has already agreed personal terms with AC Milan. The Rossoneri and the 21-year-old have a verbal agreement on a five-year contract with a move set for next summer.

Julian Alvarez has a release clause of 25 million euros but River Plate are asking for 18 million euros. Considering his contract situation, the Rossoneri are not offering more than 10 million euros. A few days ago Rossoneri scouts were sent to follow him closely and Julian scored a hat-trick in front of them.
