AC Milan make offer for Barcelona defender

Barcelona have changed their mind and are open to sell Emerson Royal. AC Milan have presented an opening offer.

AC Milan have completed the signing of Pierre Kalulu but the French defender is not the only right back expected to arrive this summer. With Davide Calabria set to leave, the Rossoneri are looking at Denzel Dumfries and Emerson Royal to replace the Italian defender.

Milan hoped to include Ricardo Rodriguez in a deal for Dumfries but PSV refused insisting on a cash only operation. Contacts have been scarce in recent days with the Rossoneri currently focused on Barcelona’s Emerson.

The Brazilian right back is on loan at Real Betis and is owned by Barcelona. The Spanish giants initially refused to negotiate the sale of the 21-year-old defender but, for budget reasons, the Blaugrana have changed their mind and have informed AC Milan of their intentions.

According to TodoFichajes, AC Milan have offered 18 million euros for Emerson. Barcelona have refused the first proposal of the Rossoneri and are asking a figure of 25 million for the right back.

The Brazilian defender has done really well in his first season in Spain. The 21-year-old full back has made 31 appearances with Real Betis, scoring 3 goals and providing 5 assists.
