AC Milan minority shareholder confirms Milinkovic Savic talks

In the last weeks Italian media has reported on AC Milan’s interest in signing Sergej Milinkovic-Savic from Lazio in a record breaking deal.

The name of Lazio’s star Sergej Milinkovic-Savic continues to be linked with AC Milan. According to rumors the Rossoneri have made a staggering bid of 120 million euros for the young Serbian midfielder. A loan move of 40 million euros with the right to make the move permanent at the end of the season for another 80 million.

This time it is AC Milan’s minority shareholder, lawyer Giuseppe La Scala, to confirm that the Rossoneri are in talks to sign the 23 year old. La Scala writes on his Twitter page that: “In my opinion AC Milan has already bought Milinkovic Savic. But Lotito (Lazio president) wants to announce it on the last day of the transfer market because he does not want to buy anyone in his place“.

Jokes aside, it seems clear to me that Milan is working with all its strength to reach a deal“. Last time technical director Leonardo was asked about the matter he dubbed a move “difficult” without giving any other detail. The fans continue to hope.
