Christian Abbiati quits AC Milan

AC Milan’s club manager Christian Abbiati has decided to leave the Rossoneri after just one year as part of the staff.

Unexpected news coming directly from Milanello. Former AC Milan goalkeeper Christian Abbiati has resigned from his duty as club manager of the Rossoneri reports today Il Corriere della Sera.

The 41 year old who was part of the Red and Blacks for 18 seasons joined the management staff of the club only last summer and has decided to quit despite his excellent relationship with coach Gennaro Gattuso.

It’s not yet clear what has pushed Abbiati to make such a decision or if the current situation at the club has had an impact but sources cite personal reasons.
