Dida joins AC Milan first team

AC Milan legend Nelson Dida will join the Rossoneri first squad for next season. The Brazilian was chosen by Maldini.

All confirmed: Nelson Dida will be AC Milan goalkeepers coach for the new 2020-2021 season. A decision made by the current AC Milan management.

The former Brazilian goalkeeper who won two Champions League trophies with Milan, is currently serving as goalkeepers coach for the Rossoneri’s Under-17 squad.

Dida will be promoted to the first team confirms today La Gazzetta dello Sport. He will take the place of Luigi Turci, goalkeepers coach wanted by Marco Giampaolo and who will probably leave Milanello to follow the Italian coach elsewhere.

The Brazilian legend will take care of Gigio Donnarumma and the other Milan goalkeepers. An intriguing but also very romantic choice, since after technical director Maldini and ambassadors, Baresi and Massaro, there are no other flags at the club with a central role.

AC Milan sign Dida in 1999 but only in 2002 he become a regular starter for the club. The Brazilian was a key player for the Rossoneri under Carlo Ancelotti. He left Milan in 2010 and five years later retired at Internacional.
