Official – AC Milan sack U-19 coach

AC Milan have sacked Primavera coach Alessandro Lupi after continuous disappointing results at the helm of Milan U-19.

The AC Milan Primavera are doing even worse then Gennaro Gattuso’s side. The young Rossoneri are surprisingly the big disappointment of the Primavera championship with continuous defeats.

The youth products of AC Milan academy are in fact penultimate in the standings with only 8 points. Only Empoli has performed worse this season. A disaster that according to the club sees coach Alessandro Lupi as the major culprit. The coach, as reported today the La Gazzetta dello Sport, was officially sacked a few hours ago after yet another flop in the league. Udinese Primavera defeated AC Milan yesterday 2-1 confirming the enormous difficulties of the young Rossoneri.

AC Milan have rushed to find a new coach for the Primavera. There are three names that the management is considering to replace Lupi. The first is that of Marco Simone, former Milan striker who had already agreed to coach Milan B, or the project of the second Milan team, that was never materialized. The second candidate is Ibrahim Ba, another former Red and Black player who has the coaching license but for years has served as scout for the Rossoneri.

Finally, the third option could be Angelo Castellazzi, very close to Leonardo, who in the past has been vice-coach of the Rossoneri and coach of the youth ranks. His last assignment was precisely that of assistant to Leonardo in Turkey at Antalyaspor.
