Tare has chosen the new AC Milan coach

Igli Tare is set to be announced as the new AC Milan sporting director. The Albanian director will start his work with the selection of a new coach for the Rossoneri.
AC Milan have realized their mistake of not appointing a sporing director since the exit of Ricky Massara. Although he didn’t have an license, it was Geoffrey Moncada doing the job but the current season flop clearly demonstrated that the Rossoneri needed a man familiar with the job and the environment of Italian football. The man in question is former Lazio sporting director Igli Tare who is expected to be announced in the upcoming days according to various reports.
Tare, who did a great job during his 15 years at Lazio, has already clear plans on what AC Milan need to succeed. The contract renewals of several important players will be high on his to-do list. However, the most important decision of Igli Tare will be the name of the new AC Milan coach. Sergio Conceicao will not be confirmed and will leave the Rossoneri once the season is over.
A number of names have been linked with the Red and Black squad but the leading candidate for the AC Milan coaching position is Vincenzo Italiano. MilanNews.it reports that in recent times there have been continuous contacts between Igli Tare, Giorgio Furlani and the current Bologna coach Vincenzo Italiano.
Very few could have predicted that Bologna would continue to achieve success following their stunning previous season under Thiago Motta. However, Vincenzo Italiano surprised everyone by constructing a fast, entertaining and attacking-minded squad. Coach Italiano led Bologna to a 1-0 victory over AC Milan in the Coppa Italia final clinching their first trophy in the competition in 51 years and securing European football again for next year.
Vincenzo Italiano did a commendable work during his three years at Fiorentina as well. He reached the Conference League final two time, as well as the Coppa Italia final one time. The AC Milan management appreciate highly his style of play and his work with young emerging players. The second name on Igli Tare’s list is Maurizio Sarri but their difficult relationship at Lazio and Sarri’s earlier rejection of the AC Milan job make him a back-up option.
