AC Milan to use secret card for dream signing

Atalanta striker Ramus Hojlund is the summer dream signing of AC Milan and the Rossoneri has a secret card to use for his signing.

One of biggest problems of AC Milan this season has been the lack of goals from its centre forwards. Besides Olivier Giroud, who has 11 goals and 6 assists to his name, the contribution of others has been minimal. Divock Origi has found the back of the net only on two occasions while Ibrahimovic has yet to make his debut.

The situation will surely change this summer with the Rossoneri determined to bring a top level striker to strengthen their squad. Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund is the dream signing of AC Milan. The 20-year-old Denmark striker has had an immediate impact with the Bergamo club becoming a regular striker and leaving in the shadow experienced names like Duvan Zapata and Luis Muriel.

Rasmus Hojlund has recorded 7 goals and 2 assists in 21 appearances with Atalanta so far. In addition to 9 goal contributions he had with Sturm Graz at the beginning of the season. The €17 million investment that Atalanta made six months ago to sign Hojlund is looking like a bargain now with his current market value rising to €50 million.

AC Milan are very interested in Hojlund and have followed the 20-year-old Danish striker on several occasions. The reports from the scouting department have been glowing. Paolo Maldini wants to move in advance and reach an agreement with Atalanta before the end of the season. The Rossoner feel that unless they sign Hojlund this summer, it will be impossible for them to compete with English clubs next season.

While it’s unlikely that AC Milan will be able to match the 50 million euros evaluation, the Rossoneri have a secret card. AC Milan plan to include Lorenzo Colombo in talks for Hojlund. The young AC Milan striker is currently on loan at Lecce and is having a very positive season with 7 goal contributions.

Atalanta would prefer to keep Rasmus for another season in Bergamo but the name of Lorenzo Colombo is greatly appreciated by both the club and coach Gasperini. An offer of nearly 40 million plus Colombo could be enough to convince Atalanta to part ways with Hojlund. Maldini is pushing to get the green light from Cardinale and secure a player he believes could be world class in the near future.
