Barcelona lower demands for Milan target

A few months ago Barcelona demanded 50 million euros for Milan target Denis Suarez but now the Rossoneri can sign him for much less.

The Rossoneri continue to battle with problems in midfield. Coach Gennaro Gattuso is very limited in choices and except for the starting trio (Biglia, Bonaventura, Kessie) the bench is very poor. Bakayoko has not adapted to life in Italy while Jose Mauri and Andrea Bertolacci have rarely featured so far.

The Rossoneri need to sign at least one central midfielder in January and sporting director Leonardo is considering the alternatives. A few weeks ago AC Milan made an inquiry about Barcelona central midfielder Denis Suarez but were stunned by the the economic demands of the Catalan club. The La Liga leaders valued the 24 year old at 50 million euros then but it seems that things have changed.

Il Corriere dello Sport reports today that the lack of suitors have worried Barcelona who are now willing to negotiate for much less. Apparently Barcelona now value Denis Suarez at 35 million euros. Decisive the strong desire of the player to change environment in January.

Despite the obvious qualities of the Blaugrana talent, that figure is still too high. Denis Suarez is a very versatile player and except central midfielder he can also act as attacking midfielder and left winger. Leonardo is considering a loan move with the right to buy, a Rafinha-type operation that Inte conducted last season.
