Ralf Rangnick’s number one transfer target is always Dominik Szoboszlai, the Hungarian talent of Red Bull Salzburg.
Dominik Szoboszlai is the first name on Ralf Rangnick’s wish list. The future manager of AC Milan wants to bring the talented 19-year-old midfielder with him at the Rossoneri.
According to reports by Sportmediaset, the Szoboszlai option is quite concrete for the Rossoneri. AC Milan has been following him for some time and Rangnick’s presence seems to be an additional incentive.
However, there is an economic obstacle in the negotiation. Red Bull Salzburg’s demand seems to be still quite high, beyond 25 million euro for the in-demand left midfielder.
AC Milan are to trying to lower Salzburg’s claims and snatch Szoboszlai for a figure of around €20 million. For this reason Rangnick is personally involved in talks for the Hungarian wonderkid. It was the German who concluded the purchase of Dominik Szoboszlai in 2018. Lazio are also interested in the midfielder but the Rossoneri are in advantage.
The Hungarian has enjoyed great success with Red Bull Salzburg in his two years in Austria. The 19-year-old was of the key performers, alongside Erling Haaland, in Salzburg’s great performance in Champions. This season he has made 35 appearances scoring 9 goals and assisting 13.
