BREAKING: Zlatan Ibrahimovic accepts AC Milan’s offer

AC Milan have closed a deal to sign Zlatan Ibrahimovic on a six-month contract with a renewal option for one more year.

The search for a new striker is coming to an end. AC Milan desperately need to improve their goal scoring statistics and who better than Zlatan Ibrahimovic, author of 56 goals in 85 appearances with the Rossoneri, to give a helping hand.

La Repubblica confirms that the Swedish striker has decided to accept AC Milan’s offer and return for a second spell at the Red and Black side of San Siro. A perfect Christmas present for the Rossoneri team and fans.

After a long period of negotiations, the player seems to have definitively cleared his doubts. The 38-year-old centre forward will officially become an AC Milan player when the January transfer window opens but he should be at Milanello on December 30th when the team will meet after the Christmas holidays.

Ibrahimovic, who has not played a competitive match since October 25, will have the opportunity to return to work on the pitch in search of a minimum physical condition. If everything goes according to plan Ibra may make his debut on January 6 in the home match against Sampdoria, at the San Siro.

Zlatan will sign a six-month contract, therefore until June 2020, with a renewal option for one year linked to the number of goals scored and, probably, also the achievement of certain club objectives. The management has decided to go through with this deal to in a desperate attempt to shake the environment but it is clear that other reinforcements are also needed.
