Lecce vs Milan, probable lineups

Serie A resumes with AC Milan facing Lecce tonight at Stadio Via del Mare. Coach Pioli will make only a couple of small changes for this match.

After three months of stop, Serie A has finally resumed this week. Lecce vs Milan will be the first match of the Rossoneri in the league after the Coppa Italia clash against Juventus.

Despite the absence of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, coach Stefano Pioli will not abandon the 4-2-3-1 formation. Nevertheless, the match against Juventus gave some clear indications on which player he can rely not only for Lecce vs Milan but also for the remaining of the season.

Gianluigi Donnarumma will be as usual between the posts. The central duo of Simon Kjaer with Alessio Romagnoli is working well and both players will start from the first minute. Andrea Conti will be on the right and not Davide Calabria while Theo Hernandez returns on the left to complete the back four.

Frank Kessie and Ismael Bennacer will partner at the heart of the midfield. Samuel Castillejo returns on the right with Hakan Calhanoglu as attacking midfielder and Giacomo Bonaventura surprisingly on the left.

Once again Lucas Pauqeta returns on the bench. The Brazilian failed to impress against Juventus. Just like Rafael Leao who even in the absence of Ibrahimovic can’t get more play time. Thus Ante Rebic, who apologized for the red card with Juventus, will lead the attack as a false nine allowing the three players behind him more opportunities to attack.

LECCE (4-3-2-1): Gabriel; Rispoli, Rossettini, Lucioni, Calderoni; Petriccione, Tachtsidis, Mancosu; Falco, Saponara; Lapadula

AC MILAN (4-2-3-1): Donnarumma; Conti, Kjaer, Romagnoli, Theo Hernandez; Kessie, Bennacer; Castillejo, Calhanoglu, Bonaventura; Rebic.
