AC Milan in pursuit of Amadou Diawara, Ancelotti to help

Napoli starlet Amadou Diawara is the new option AC Milan are considering for the midfield. A difficult operation that may be eased by Carlo Ancelotti.

AC Milan continue to lose pieces in midfield. In addition to Lucas Biglia, the Rossoneri must also deal  with the absence of Giacomo Bonaventura, who will remain out for at least five months. Leonardo has no choice but to intervene on the transfer market. The AC Milan sporting director has already completed the purchase of Lucas Paqueta, but the Brazilian is an attacking midfielder rather than a regista. Even though Paqueta may play as central midfielder he needs time to adapt to Italian football.

NEW IDEA – Gattuso needs a player already accustomed to Serie A, young also, but with experience. One like Amadou Diawara, just to be clear. According to Tuttosport, the entourage of the young midfielder, who is finding very little space under the orders of Carlo Ancelotti, is looking for a new destination in January. His sister-agent is in contacts with an English intermediary to find buyers in Premier League but Diawara could also remain in Italy.

LOAN OPTION – AC Milan are thinking about the 21 year old defensive midfielder. Napoli president De Laurentiis, despite the low use by Ancelotti, values the player no less than 50 million euros. A figure definitely out of reach for the Rossoneri club which must stay in line with the parameters of the Fair Play Financial.

Leonardo relies on Diawara’s desire to play more and in Napoli’s urgency to not depreciate their young star. In January, therefore, Ancelotti could give the green light to a loan move (6 or 18 months) with the right to buy set at a price deemed appropriate by the two clubs. The signing on loan of Amadou Diawara would allow Milan to make another purchase in midfield. A player for whom Milan can spend 20-30 million euros.
