AC Milan complete Angel Correa signing: the details
AC Milan have completed the signing of Angel Correa from Atletico Madrid. The Argentine striker will cost around 45 million euros.
MILAN TRANSFER NEWS – AC Milan have practically completed the signing of Angel Correa. Sky Sport and La Gazzetta dello Sport confirm the purchase of the Argentine striker. At the same time the Rossoneri have closed the sale of Andre Silva to Monaco and should soon clarify the future of Patrick Cutrone and Suso, Marco Giampaolo is finally about to have his very first reinforcement in attack.
AC Milan and Atletico Madrid accelerated talks in the last two days. The transfer of Andre Silva to Monaco for 30 million euros provided the necessary money to fund a move for Angel Correa. Immediately after formalizing this summer’s first important sale, Milan closed a deal for the Argentine international.
Milan-Correa, Napoli tried to open talks with Atletico Madrid
Yesterday Andrea Berta, technical director of Atletico Madrid was at Casa Milan to discuss the last details of the deal. The 24-year-old will join the Rossoneri after 5 years in the Spanish capital. Correa will be the attacking partner and assist-man of Krzysztof Piatek.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reveals that AC Milan decided to accelerate talks with Atletico Madrid after Napoli tried to start a negotiation with the Spanish club. With James Rodriguez very close to Atletico, Napoli shifted their attention to Correa.
The reasons why AC Milan chose Correa
Why Correa? Because according to the Milanese management, in a 4-3-1-2 game system and above all in a football concept different from that of Diego Simeone, the former San Lorenzo star will be able to unleash all his talent, not fully expressed until now.
Angel Correa, a second striker transformed into a midfielder by Simeone, at San Siro would have the possibility to return to his natural position.
