MN: AC Milan complete Mandzukic signings, details

AC Milan have completed the signing of Mario Mandzukic on a six-months deal with a renewal option for another year.

For the next match against Cagliari, AC Milan will be without seven players. This is not an isolated case because for a long time Pioli had to deal with the absence of many players. For this reason the Rossoneri have decided no to waste any time and complete the singing of Mario Mandzukic.

MilanNews.it reports that the Croatian striker has agreed to join Milan until the end of the season and will get payed 1.8 million for the next six months. In case of Champions League qualification Mandzukic’s contract will be automatically renewed for one more year with wages of 3.5 million plus add-ons..

With the arrival of the Croatian striker AC Milan solve a big problem. Until now, Zlatan Ibrahimovic was the only centre forward available in the squad. When the Swede didn’t play, Pioli was force to adapt Rafael Leao or Ante Rebic in that position but obviously playing as centre forwards was not their natural role.

The 34-year-old immediately accepted Milan’s offer and refused more lucrative proposal from other European clubs. The Rossoneri on the other hand had some doubts about his physical condition and took time to consider all aspects before completing a deal.

The Croatian is expected to arrive in Milan on Tuesday and sign his contract with the Red and Blacks. He is a player with vast experience in Serie A having played for four years with Juventus. A striker familiar with the league and ready to contribute immediately.
