AC Milan identify Ibrahimovic replacement

AC Milan need to sign a replacement for Ibrahimovic and have identified Italian prodigy Gianluca Scamacca as the perfect candidate.

Transfer market never stops even though it has been officially closed seven days ago. Tuttosport reports that AC Milan’s summer priority is going to be to find a back-up for the 38-year-old Zlatan Ibrahimovic and the Rossoneri have identified Gianluca Scamacca as the ideal player.

The 21-year-old center forward owned by Sassuolo, is naturally compared to Zlatan Ibrahimovic for his imposing physique combined with great technical skills. Scamacca has been on AC Milan’s radar for a while and to make things better Ibra is the idol of the young Italian striker.

Moreover, with the departure of Krzysztof Piatek who joined for Herta Berlin for €30 million, the Rossoneri are without a proper centre forward besides Ibrahimovic. Pioli doesn’t have a replacement for Zlatan, a problem already encountered in Milan-Verona and which will obviously be resolved at the end of the season.

AC Milan are doing a thorough research and believe Gianluca Scamacca has the right characteristics to impose himself at San Siro. Sassuolo have loaned Scamacca in Serie B to Ascoli. In 20 appearances with Ascoli Scamacca has scored 10 goals finally making his breakthrough.

The Italy U-21 international made a questionable choice in 2015 when he left Roma to join PSV Eindhoven, where he failed to break into the first team. Two years later he transferred to Sassuolo for half a million. Scamacca was initially loaned at Cremonese and PEC Zwolle before settling for Ascoli. At the end of the season Sassuolo intend to bring back Scamacca and hand him a starring role but in front of a pleasing offer he will be allowed to leave. Maldini and Boban are already planning their move.
