AC Milan receive offer for Castillejo

AC Milan winger Samu Castillejo will probably leave the Rossoneri this summer with Sevilla and Valencia interested in his services.

MILAN TRANSFER NEWS – In the new AC Milan squad of Marco Giampaolo there will be no place for wingers. The Italian coach prefers a 4-3-1-2 lineup with two strikers and, while Suso could be adapted as attacking midfielder, the same can not be said for Samu Castillejo.

The Spanish winger is surplus to requirements at San Siro and will likely leave this season. Several Spanish clubs are interested in his services with Sevilla and Valencia his most likely destinations.

Sevilla so far have made only an inquiry with his agent while Valencia have already contacted AC Milan with a concrete offer. According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Valencia want to sign Samu Castillejo on loan with the right to buy.

AC Milan would prefer to sell Castillejo right away after just one year at San Siro. The Rossoneri signed the former Villarreal for €18 million plus Carlos Bacca and value him now at 25 million. Valencia coach Marcelino would love to work again with the 24-year-old winger.

In his first year at AC Milan Castillejo made 40 appearances, mostly as a substitute. He scored 4 goals and assisted another 4 bout failed to become a member of the starting eleven despite Calhanoglu’s underwhelming performances for much of the season. A meeting is scheduled between the club, Giampaolo and the player to discuss his situation before making a final decision.
