AC Milan sign Alessandro Florenzi, the details

AC Milan have completed the signing of Alessandro Florenzi from Roma. The Italian right back will join on an initial loan.

AC Milan are finally about to complete the back line. The Rossoneri have closed the signing of Alessandro Florenzi from Roma. The 30-year-old Italian defender will be the second right back in the squad. It will be Florenzi to challenge Davide Calabria for a spot in Stefano Pioli’s eleven with Diogo Dalot not returning for a second spell.

In a crucial meeting between the two clubs today, Roma accepted AC Milan offer to sign Alessandro Florenzi on loan. The Rossoneri will spend 1 million for the Italian right back with the option to make his transfer permanent for another 4.5 million euros.

The arrival of Florenzi will green light the sale of Andrea Conti. The former Atalanta right back could move to Sampdoria on a permanent deal because his contact with the Rossoneri expires in one year.

The former Roma captain is a very experienced player recording 280 appearances to his name with the Giallorossi. Florenzi spent the last season on loan at Paris Saint-Germain making 36 appearances. He reached the Champions League final and won the Coupe de France and the Super Cup with PSG.

Florenzi was also part of the Italian national team that won the European Championship this summer. After completing the defence, the Rossoneri management will now be concentrated in signing a new winger and an attacking midfielder.
