AC Milan to commit follies for midfielder
AC Milan are now at work to sign a new defensive midfielder and the number one target of Leonardo remains PSG star Adrien Rabiot.
The purchase of Lucas Paqueta is just the beginning. AC Milan sporting director Leonardo is now concentrated in signing a new defensive midfielder. Lucas Biglia has proved quite reliable this season but still he needs to take a rest sometimes and age is not on his side. The long-term successor that Leonardo has identified for the Argentine 32 year old is Adrien Rabiot.
According to Il Corriere dello Sport, the Rossoneri director is crazy in love with the 23 year old player who has an expiring contract with the Parisian giants and despite being offered a rich renewal on numerous occasions he has refused, insisting a new adventure outside France.
Competition for the services of Paris Saint Germain star is fierce with Juventus and Barcelona the two most interested clubs. Like in the case of Paqueta where Leonardo challenged clubs with much more economic potential than Milan, the Brazilian director would be willing to commit follies in order to sign Rabiot reports the Italian newspaper.
In fact, the Rossoneri intend to make Rabiot one of the highest paid players in Serie A offering him a contract of 6 million euros. In addition, at San Siro, Adrien would find more space in midfield that at Juve or Barcelona. The player has declared several times that he would prioritize the project and his game opportunities when he makes the final decision
