AC Milan to sign 2 strikers this summer

AC Milan plan to sign two strikers this summer. The likely arrival of Olivier Giroud will be followed by the signing of a talented youngster.

Until now, AC Milan have announced the signing of Mike Maignan but the permanent transfer of Fikayo Tomori is just a matter of time. The next signing will most likely be in attack with Olivier Giroud very close to joining the Rossoneri.

The Rossoneri are in search of a player that can alternate with Zlatan Ibrahimovic in attack. AC Milan are currently in negotiations with the French striker for a two-year contract at around 4 million per season. However, besides Giroud, another striker is expected to join AC Milan this summer.

The management is planning the arrival of a third striker. A young and talented player that has a low price tag. Toulouse gem Amine Adli is the most important name on AC Milan’s radar. With 8 goals and 7 assists in 33 appearances, Adli was recently named the best player of Ligue 2. The 21-year-old has a contract until 2022 and is reportedly available for a figure of 8 million euros. He has reportedly agreed personal terms with Milan.

The fans may be a bit disappointment considering that names like Belotti, Vlahovic, Scamacca and Malen were linked with AC Milan. The logic behind the management’s decision to sign two low-cost strikers rather than a top name is simple. AC Milan’s dream signing is Dusan Vlahovic but Fiorentina is shooting high asking 60 million euros for the young Serbian striker.

With his contract expiring in 2023, AC Milan feel they would be in a much more comfortable position to negotiate Vlahovic’s signing next year when his contract expiration would force Fiorentina to negotiate a much lower asking fee.
