Barcelona to make sensational move for Rafael Leao
The performances of AC Milan striker Rafael Leao have attracted the attention of Barcelona who are looking a replacement for Luis Suarez.
The performances of Rafael Leao are certainly among the few positive notes of AC Milan’s start to the season. The young striker who arrived in the summer from Lille has already shown he is destined for great things.
Surprisingly in the last game against Genoa, by Marco Giampaolo’s decision he started from the bench, but his entrance in the second-half immediately changed the final outcome of the match. Under Stefano Pioli, Leao is expected to be the starting winger on the left. The Rossoneri cannot renounce his services after spending €25 million to sign him from Lille.
The performances of the Portuguese striker have not gone unnoticed by the eyes of the major European clubs. According to AS, Barcelona are keeping tabs on Rafael Leao. The Spanish giants want to sign a new striker and and consider the 20-year-old as an ideal player to partner with Messi. Barcelona will invest a large sum to bring a top player at Camp Nou in the summer.
Luis Suarez will turn 33 in January and his contract expires in June 2021. That’s why Barcelona are thinking about alternatives in attack. In addition to Rafael Leao, among the shortlisted players by Barca there are also: Lautaro Martinez (Inter), Donyell Malen (PSV Eindhoven) and Victor James Osimhen (Lille).
Obviously AC Milan have no intention of letting their jewel leave. The Rossoneri, especially Maldini, are counting a lot on Leao and have great confidence in the former Lille. Hopefully with new coach Stefano Pioli, Rafael Leao will play an even bigger in the future.
