Dortmund midfielder offered to AC Milan

Maldini has met with the agent of the Borussia Dortmund midfielder who is set to move on a free transfer.

The season is not yet over but both clubs and players are already planning in advance for next season. AC Milan are expected to be active on the summer transfer window which will be the first true mercato window of the Gerry Cardinale era. Maldini and Massara are looking to improve the squad and at the same time keep an eye on market opportunities.

Such an opportunity is Mahmoud Dahoud. The 27-year-old central midfielder of Borussia Dortmund will not be extending his contract with the German club and will be available on a free transfer once the season is over. Dahoud is looking for an experience outside Germany after spending his entire career in Bundesliga.

His agent had a meeting recently with Paolo Maldini and has offered AC Milan the chance to sign Mahmoud Dahoud as a free agent. Dahud has a market value of around €20 million and can easily play as defensive midfielder if required. However, Milan are not very keen on the move.

The Rossoneri will sign a new midfielder this summer but it will be someone that can fill in the void left by Franck Kessie. While Dahud is credited as a box-to-box midfielder, the Italian champions are confident that the market offers better opportunities with Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek a potential target.

The agent of Mahmoud Dahoud has also offered the German midfielder to Inter and Napoli. The 27-year-old has seen his playing time reduced significantly this season. So far, Dahoud has made a total of six appearances with Borussia Dortmund.
