Carlos Bacca hits out at Milan

The Colombian striker is now part of Villarreal and is fond of his time at Milan but at the same time he couldn’t help launching some strong words against his old club.

Carlos Bacca for two seasons was the best goal scorer of the rossoneri team, but despite this he has not been able to win the fans esteem and become part of the club’s new project.

The Colombian transferred to Villarreal on loan with the right to buy, in total this deal could generate a figure of 18 million euros if the “Yellow submarine” will decide to permanently sign the former rossonero. At the moment, however, Bacca is not having such performances as to suggest that he will be confirmed by the Spanish team even for next season. Only 2 goals in 9 appearances for the 31 year old centre forward, who in the last three games in La Liga has remained on the bench.

Bacca in an interview with W Radio Colombia talked about his adventure at Villarreal, his second in Spain after the two years spent at Sevilla before he signed for AC Milan: “I’m happy with how the club and the people welcomed me. I want to give my best for the team. We are improving with the change of coach and we still have a huge margin of improvement. Our goal is to reach Europe again and perform nicely in Europa League as well, giving the best for us and for the people.

Carlos subsequently continued on his experience at Milan between highs and lows: “The years past at Milan have been satisfying to me personally. I have reached a lot on a personal level. It could have been better, but the help of the leadership and the team was needed. I was in the worst Milan in history. After 31 years, President Berlusconi wanted to sell the club. With the coach and the new leadership we had different ideas, but I continue with my head held high because Milan is in Europe and I contributed. I am pleased that Milan is in Europe, it was my goal when I left Sevilla.
