CM: AC Milan set their sights on Schalke midfielder

AC Milan are considering a new target for the midfield. The talented Algerian of Schalke 04 could be Franck Kessie’s ideal replacement.

Calciomercato.it reveals that Nabil Bentaleb is the new name on the radar of coach Gattuso and Massimiliano Mirabelli. The Schalke 04 central midfielder moved to Germany for 20 million euros two years ago after a three-year spell at Tottenham Hotspur.

The Algerian wants to change team losing his first team place this season making only 16 appearances in Bundesliga with just 12 starts. The Rossoneri hate attempted to purchase Bentaleb twice in the past without success. The Algerian is a versatile player and can also play as defensive or attacking midfielder. Schalke 04 are open to negotiations and a deal can be closed at 20 million.

Like for every other AC Milan target the main obstacle in signing Bentaleb is UEFA’s upcoming ruling on Financial Fair Play breach and possible Europa League ban.
