New details on Dani Olmo’s transfer to AC Milan

Croatian press gives new details on the reported transfer of Spanish starlet Dani Olmo to AC Milan. The 21-year-old will join the Rossoneri on a five-year contract.

After conducting many transfers in defence, the Rossoneri are set to spend the remaining days of the January transfer window trying to sign one or two wingers to add depth in attack. Dani Olmo and Cengiz Under are AC Milan’s top two targets with the Spaniard closer to Milan.

According to the Croatian press, AC Milan have closed a deal to sign Dani Olmo from Dinamo Zagreb for a fee €30 million. In Italy, the newspapers confirms the Rossoneri’s strong interest in the 21-year-old attacking midfielder but insist a deal has yet to materialize, something that can be explained by the lack of an important sale at Milan.

Nevertheless, Croatian media report that AC Milan and Dinamo Zagreb have a total agreement. Dani Olmo will join Milan for an initial €20 million, plus 5 million in bonuses and another 5 in case of a future resale. Olmo will sign a five-year contract of 2.5 million euros per season.

Dinamo Zagreb had recently offered the young talent a contract renewal at 1.5 million per season. However, the former Barcelona youngster refused because he wants to move to a more competitive league and earn a place in Spain’s national team for the European championship.

Now it’s up to Olmo, father Miguel and the rest of his entourage to close the last details with AC Milan. Sportske Novosti writes that the Spaniard may even leave Croatia in the next few hours to reach Italy.
