Di Marzio: AC Milan want Argentine striker to replace Ibra

Transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio reports that AC Milan have reignited their interest in Adolfo Gaich.

AC Milan have reignited their interest in Argentine striker Adolfo Gaich. Sky Sport journalist Gianluca Di Marzio confirms that the Rossoneri are keeping a close eye on the 21-year-old powerful centre forward.

AC Milan have been keeping tabs on the San Lorenzo striker since last summer. In January, AC Milan saw a €10 million bid for Gaich rejected by San Lorenzo. After making his breakthrough last season, Gaich has scored 5 goals in 12 appearances in 2019/20 until the Coronavirus outbreak.

Inter too are interested in Gaich are studying the possibility of making a similar signing to that made with Lautaro Martinez. Obviously other European teams have joined the race for the 21-year-old striker. Adolfo Gaich’s contract expires in June 2021 and the player has refused to extend his stay in Argentine. A very good market opportunity that Milan want to seize.

Adolfo Gaich has a release clause of 15 million euros, a figure that San Lorenzo want to see respected. It’s not a very high fee and in any case negotiable. The will of the player will be decisive on the transfer, since he aspires to land in a Europe but at a club that guarantees him a certain game time.

The 1,90 m tall striker is often compared to Zlatan Ibrahimovic for his strong physique, dribbling and style of play. Ironically he could the player to replace the Swedish champion at AC Milan.
