Donnarumma admits feeling disturbed at PSG

Former AC Milan shot-stopper Gianluigi Donnarumma is having a tough time in France where he is PSG second choice goalkeeper.

The former AC Milan goalkeeper, currently at PSG, was interviewed by TNT Sports after the match. The Italy number one is going through a difficult period as he himself admits.

We are angry, we wanted to win the game in front of our fans, we cared a lot and we are angry. We absolutely need to recharge our batteries, win the next game and qualify for the World Cup. It’s always exciting to play for Italy, we absolutely want to go to Qatar“, said Donnarumma.

The 22-year-old goalkeeper then commented on the situation he is experiencing at Paris Saint Germain, and the continuous battle with Costa Rican goalkeeper Keylor Navas, who many times has forced Donnarumma to sit on the bench. In fact, Navas has started in more matches that Donnarumma this season.

It doesn’t disturb my performances but it certainly disturbs me because it’s not easy at all. I’ve always played every match, it hurts to stay on the bench sometimes but I’m calm and the situation will be resolved soon”.

Gianluigi Donnarumma left AC Milan during the summer on a free transfer. He joined Paris Saint-Germain after refusing to extend his contract with the Rossoneri at 8 million euros per season.
