Finished: Rijeka 2-0 AC Milan

New coach Gennaro Gattuso makes his Europa League debut in the last match of the group stage with a shameful defeat against Rijeka.

After the tremendous flop against Benevento in Serie A, the rossoneri are subject to another disappointing result this time in Europa League. Yes, it may be a defeat without harm because AC Milan are already qualified for the knockout round as head of group D but still a team like the red and blacks can not afford such a fiasco. Although the B team was on the pitch, the rossoneri never looked like 7 times Champions League winners but rather as a provincial squad. The only positive thing was the first minute starts of Locatelli, Zanellato and the debut of Primavera youngster Riccardo Forte.
