Gattuso: “The most fundamental player for us”
AC Milan secured a spectacular victory against a direct rival like Roma offering an excellent performance on the pitch that was rewarded in the end.
AC Milan coach Gennaro Gattuso was obviously pleased with the team’s performance tonight against AS Roma. Even though the Giallorossi equalized the game in the beginning of the second half, the Rossoneri believed till the end and won the match thanks to a last minute strike by Patrick Cutrone.
At the post-game press conference Rino highlighted his team’s dominance for the majority of the game insisting that: “saying that AC Milan won the game in the last minutes it would be reductive“. The Italian technician later and singled out Lucas Biglia as the most important performer in his squad.
In an interview with Sky Sport, Gattuso complimented the Argentine midfielder: “Biglia is fundamental to us on a technical level and above all tactical, he has saved us on many occasions, always manages to stay in the right position. Considering the workload the team is not yet brilliant, we can still improve on this aspect. Some of our players can be even more brilliant than this“.
