Gattuso received three offers from England and Spain: the details
Mr. Gennaro Gattuso will continue as AC Milan coach but the former midfielder had received three other proposals before renewing his contract with the Rossoneri.
According to Alfredo Pedulla (transfer market expert) Rino had received three concrete offers before deciding to renew with AC Milan. Two clubs from the Spanish La Liga and one from the English Premier League wanted Gattuso as their coach. All the three offers arrived in the last 2-3 weeks but to which Gattuso responded with a kind refusal. His will and absolute priority has always been the renewal of his contract with the Rossoneri, a club that he considers as his second home.
In addition, La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that at the end of the season coach Gattuso will be called again by Marco Fassone and Massimiliano Mirabelli to discuss and sign a new contract. Nothing to worry about, the parties will sit down to discuss a sort of definitive integration to the agreement hastily signed yesterday, which will confirm both the duration of the contract until June 2021, and the fixed salary that Gattuso will receive, around 2 million euros net per year.
No substantial change therefore in comparison to the current agreement but AC Milan and Gattuso will update to add a series of bonuses that will add up to the basic salary promised by the club. Also the club will offer Rino several rewards depending on the team’s performance and seasonal goals: varying from the conquest of Europa League to the most ambitious Champions League qualification and winning the Scudetto. A series of more bonuses therefore that will be mainly useful to confirm the trust of the club towards the coach.
