Gds: AC Milan to finalize striker purchase

AC Milan are in advanced talks with Monaco to make the signing of Pietro Pellegri permanent and then loan him out at a Serie A club.

AC Milan look closer to completing deals for the attack rather then sign a new centre back. The Rossoneri are working to make the signing of Pietro Pellegri from Monaco permanent without waiting for the end of the season.

Gazzetta dello Sport reports that AC Milan already have an agreement with the Italian striker. His agent Giuseppe Riso has been at Casa Milan to close the last details. Meanwhile, today AC Milan have had an important meeting with Monaco.

AC Milan signed Pellegri on loan for one million and have an option to purchase him for another 6 million. The Rossoneri are negotiating to get a discount from Monaco who will also have a percentage on his future sale. If AC Milan manage to secure a deal before the end of the mercato, Pellegri will not end the season with the Rossoneri.

The 20-year-old is a wanted man on the market. AC Milan have received loan offers from Genoa, Torino, Cagliari and Bologna. However, the first two clubs are in advantage for Pietro. Pellegri made his breakthrough at Genoa while Torino have shown they can improve AC Milan youngsters as demonstrated with Tomasso Pobega.

Pellegri’s departure would allow AC Milan to sign a new striker. The Italian starlet will have the chance to play regularly elsewhere while another entre forward will arrive at San Siro to serve as the back-up of Olivier Giroud and Zlatan Ibrahimovic reports Gazzetta dello Sport.
