Genoa-Milan, probable lineups

Two days after the Europa League disappointment AC Milan are back on work preparing for today difficult challenge with Genoa.

It’s time to shake off the ugly performance against Arsenal and concentrate in Serie A. Today, at 18:00 CET, the Rossoneri face a traditionally difficult opponent like Genoa at Stadio Luigi Ferraris. Coach Rino Gattuso aims to make some changes compared to the last outing.

‘Fresh’ faces like Fabio Borini, Riccardo Montolivo and Nikola Kalinic are expected to start from the first minute. The role of Fabio Borini is still a bit ambiguous, the former Sunderland was tried as right-back in place of Davide Calabria in the last training session but it is not to be excluded the possibility that he plays up front replacing one between Suso and Hakan Calhanoglu.

Former captain Montolivo instead should be placed in the control room, while the Croatian obviously in attack offering a much needed rest for youngster Patrick Cutrone. No changes for the rest of the squad.

GENOA (3-5-2): Perin; Biraschi, Spolli, Zukanovic; Rosi, L. Rigoni, Bertolacci, Hiljemark, Laxalt; Pandev, Galabinov.

AC MILAN (4-3-3): Calabria (Borini), Bonucci, Romagnoli, Rodriguez; Kessié, Montolivo, Bonaventura; Suso (Borini), Kalinic, Calhanoglu.
