Tuttosport: AC Milan to bid for Barcelona midfielder

The Rossoneri are highly active on the transfer market these days and are being linked with a move for Barcelona midfielder Andre Gomes.

AC Milan’s scout are already at work ahead for the next transfer market session. The Rossoneri have blocked Ivan Strinic of Sampdoria and are about to close a deal for Pepe Reina, but they are not looking only at free transfer. Among the club’s targets, as reported today by Tuttosport, there is also Andre Gomes of Barcelona.

The 24 year old Portuguese can cover nearly all the midfield roles on the pitch, central, right, left and even as regista in front of the defense. The Euro 2016 winner is in his final months at Camp Nou and totally out of the technical project of coach Valverde. Barca spent more than 35 million euros to snatch him from Valencia in 2016 but his performances have been underwhelming so far.

Relations between AC Milan and Jorge Mendes, agent of Andre Gomes, are excellent, as are those with Barcelona. Massimiliano Mirabelli and Marco Fassone are waiting to know the possible restrictions imposed by the UEFA before making an offer for Andre Gomes. This time, 20 million euros could be more then enough to secure his services.
