Giampaolo is Maldini’s number one pick for AC Milan coach
Sampdoria’s Marco Giampaolo is the most likely name to replace Gennaro Gattuso at AC Milan and become the new coach of the Rossoneri.

There are many names being linked with AC Milan, but at the moment, at the top of the Rossoneri’s list there are two above all, namely Marco Giampaolo and Simone Inzaghi.
Simone Inzaghi is a very complicated track. The 43-year-old Italian coach wants to leave Lazio and has refused the renewal but he still has one more year of contract with the capitol team. The Italian newspaper reports that Paolo has already contacted Marco Giampaolo and that he is an alternative that convinces both Maldini and CEO Ivan Gazidis.
Giampaolo’s Sampdoria finished a very good season fighting for a spot in Europa League until the end. Furthermore, Sampdoria’s veteran striker Fabio Quagliarella was Serie A’s best forward finding the back of the net on 26 occasions.
