Gonzalo Higuain considering shock decision

AC Milan new arrival Gonzalo Higuain is reportedly considering taking a long pause form international duty or even retiring for good. Argentine interim coach Lionel Scaloni has left Higuain out for the upcoming two friendly games against Guatemala and Colombia.

The Argentine 30 year old centre forward joined the Rossoneri this summer in a surprise swap deal that saw AC Milan sign both Higuan and Mattia Caldara in exchange for Leonardo Bonucci and cash. Gonzalo Higuain is currently on loan at San Siro and the Red and Blacks have an option to buy for 36 million euros at the end of the season.

The former Juventus seems to have settled immediately and proved to be crucial in AC Milan’s Friday win against Roma providing a fantastic assist for Cutrone. Higuain’s international retirement could be a good news for Milan as it would allow the striker to concentrate more in the Italian league.
