AC Milan closing on their most expensive signing in years
AC Milan are working tirelessly to close the transfer of Ardon Jashari. The Swiss is the last missing puzzle of Allegri’s revamped midfield.
In the recent hours AC Milan completed the transfer of Samuele Ricci from Torino. The highly rated 23-year-old Italian captain of Torino will join AC Milan for a €25 transfer fee, add-ons included. A great deal completed by director Igli Tare considering that Torino had always demand a fee close to 40 million for their most prized gem. Technically Samuele Ricci is AC Milan’s first summer signing but in reality that title belongs to Luka Modric who will join the Rossoneri club immediately after the end of the Club World Cup.
AC Milan are totally revamping their midfield as requested by new coach Massimiliano Allegri who is expected to transition to a 4-3-3 game system for the new season. The last missing piece of the puzzle is a direct replacement for Tijjani Reijnders. A creative midfielder but also attentive to defensive tasks. The player in question is Ardon Jashari for whom AC Milan are willing to make a big investment this summer in order to acquire his services.
The 22-year-old Swiss international has captivated the Rossoneri. Jashari had a great session in Belgium helping Club Brugge win the domestic Cup and also doing a great job in the Champions League. At the end of the season Ardon Jashari was named the Player of the Year in Belgium. Despite the young age the midfielder is ready for the next step at a top club.
AC Milan are Club Brugge have been in talks for a month now but unable to reach an agreement. The Rossoneri have seen a couple bids rejected with the last one worth €33 million. Brugge rate Jashari at €40 million and have been reluctant to compromise so far. Regardless, Igli Tare keep working on this deal and is ready to present a new improved bid that will make Adon Jashari one of the most expensive signings in club history, if successful.
In recent years the Rossoneri have not signed players outside the 20 million range. The only exceptions in the last five years have been Tomori, Santiago Gimenez and De Ketelaere. Ardon Jashari has already agreed personal terms with AC Milan. The 22-year-old midfielder has rejected the approach of Manchester United and recently informed Brugge that he only wants to joins AC Milan. Both the player and Igli Tare are pushing to close the deal soon. Allegri meanwhile is eager to have Jashari under his orders, a player that is considered as a game changer.
