La Gazzetta, Shkendija 0-1 Milan player ratings

AC Milan manage to grab a narrow win in Macedonia with a beautiful early goal by Patrick Cutrone. As usual, La Gazzetta dello Sport analyzes the best and the worst.

Not a spectacular team test for AC Milan yesterday against the Macedonians of Shkendija. Who was expecting a many goas like in the first match was forced to be pleased with the cold goal of Patrick Cutrone after 13 minutes of play.

At individual level many players deployed by Vincenzo Montella yesterday from the first minute are to be postponed and reviewed, although for some of them it may have been the last real opportunity before the end of the summer transfer market. A test, therefore, not of optimal performance even with all the circumstances considered.

As usual, La Gazzetta dello Sport has published the ratings of all the rossoneri players on the pitch last night in Skopje. Beginning with the best, deserved applause for Marco Storari. The vice-Donnarumma plays as a first team goalkeeper and deserves a 7 for three decisive saves and for the power demonstrated despite 40 years of age. Among the most positive of course, Patrick Cutrone, decisive in front of the goal, and the same-time Manuel Locatelli, author of the decisive assist. 6.5 for both of them as well as for Jesus Suso, who entered in the second half but was dangerous right away.

There are so many flops, according to La Gazzetta, in the Macedonian evening: 5,5 ratings for Zapata and Romagnoli, still not well geared in the defense of three and strangely absent-minded, although for the former Roma defender the most important thing was to gain play minutes after being back with the group just a few days ago. Davide Calabria does not convince at right back, he doesn’t pushes a lot in front and feels uncomfortable in the second half. Finally the two worst: A full 5 rating for a poor performance by Jose Mauri in the middle of the pitch, as well as Andre Silva, who apart from a dangerous conclusion from the edge of the area experienced a disappointing evening.
