Milan, Cutrone second Under 20 top scorer in Europe

Patrick Cutrone is certainly the biggest surprise of AC Milan’s season. The young forward is the Rossoneri’s top scorer so far and one of the most most lethal goalscorers in Europe.

No one would have expected a performance like that, as no one would have expected that the young Milanese centre forward could be the Rossoneri’s top scorer. In the summer, the club of Via Aldo Rossi invested several millions for the purchase Andre Silva (38) and Kalinic (25), but for the moment, the striker who offers more guarantees, especially for his conversion rate, is undoubtedly Cutrone.

As reported today by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Patrick is the second Under 20 top scorer in the major European championships. Analyzing all the players born after 1 January 1998, it turns out that only Kylian Mbappe of PSG has scored more than the number 63 of AC Milan. The Frenchman, who is now one of the great stars in the world of football, records 15 goals, while Cutrone has scored on 12 occasions between Serie A, Coppa Italia and Europa League.

Obviously, Patrick should continue to work because he can and must improve a lot, as coach Gattuso explained in the last few days: “He only needs more desire to keep growing. I expect him to improve in supporting his teammates and play with more tranquility. He can also improve and play cleaner, sometimes he loses too many balls when he stops and gets anticipated by the opponent“. Last summer, Cutrone should have left on loan to gain more experience and playtime but with goals and great performances he rightfully earned a leading role in the AC Milan of 2017-2018.
