Gattuso drops Belotti transfer hint

The Rossoneri coach Gennaro Gattuso remains one of the biggest admirers of Andrea Belotti and has recently met him in person.

The 24 year old Italian striker was a target of AC Milan last summer but negotiations failed to materialize with Torino demanding 100 million euros to let him go. Instead the Red and Blacks decided to sign Andre Silva from Porto for 38 million euros and Nikola Kalinic from Fiorentina for 25 million. However Andrea Belotti remains in the orbit of the Rossoneri who will make a new attempt for him next summer.

Ahead of tomorrow’s game between the two clubs coach Rino was asked explicitly about Belotti who has failed to repeat last season’s excellent performances. “He has gone through a negative period. But I love him when he’s in form. He is a complete striker and has made a huge impact in the last few seasons.

He is a nice guy and I have always appreciated that. I went to meet him in Albinoleffe. Although, I saw him for only twenty minutes I have a good relationship with him.” The coach declined to reveal the purpose of their meeting.
