Chelsea to make offer for Milan star striker

Coach Maurizio Sarri is in search of a new striker that can help Chelsea win the Premier League and is eyeing a move for AC Milan starlet Patrick Cutrone.

Chelsea coach Maurizio Sarri has lost patience with struggling Alvaro Morata. The 25 year old Spanish striker has disappointed since his arrival at Stamford Bridge in the summer of 2017 for a club-record fee of around £60 million. The poor form of Morata has continued even this season and Sarri is looking for reinforcements.

Only 3 goals in 11 games have been enough for Sarri for ditch Morata on the bench and search for better alternatives on the market. Chelsea are considered as title contenders this season in Premier League, an impossible feat without a true goalscorer. The former Napoli coach is eyeing a January move for either Inter’s Mauro Icardi or AC Milan’s Patrick Cutrone according to The Sun.

Inter are willing to negotiation only for offers exceeding 100 million euros so Cutrone is viewed as the most feasible option to reinforce their attack. The English source reports that the Blues intend to make an opening bid of around 30 million euros for 20 year old Italian centre forward.

A very low figure considered what Patrick has shown so far and taking into account his enormous potential. Despite being just 20 years old Cutrone was AC Milan top goalscorer last season with 18 nets on 46 appearances and is already an Italy international. The young striker has performed well even this year scoring 3 goals in a total of 99 minutes.

Hardly will the Rossoneri consider such a low proposal. Patrick Cutrone is widely regarded as one of the most promising talents in world football and undoubtedly as the leading striker of AC Milan for many years to come.
