Morata, Fellaini and Dani Ceballos: Mirabelli clarifies the situation

During the ‘Festival del Milanismo” sports director Massimiliano Mirabelli offered an update on several transfer targets and their possibility of joining AC Milan.

Interviewed at an event in Gallipoli Mirabelli discussed the Rossoneri’s transfer plans. When asked on Alvaro Morata, Chelsea’s striker who even last year was a target of AC Milan, the sports director replied: “Naming players now is superfluous, it would be to delude our fans. We are awaiting UEFA’s sanctions if there will be any, however we are aware that we’ll make a non-crazy campaign but rather adjustments to our squad“.

We will make a careful transfer campaign in compliance with the rules”, reveals Mirabelli. “There are many of our players being watched by other clubs, but we will make sure that our stars remain at AC Milan. We have the youngest team in Italy, an asset that we must continue to strengthen to bring AC Milan as high as possible“.

The Rossoneri sporting director was also asked about Marouane Fellaini and Dani Ceballos, two midfielders who have been repeatedly linked with AC Milan: “They are both excellent players, but we have excellent players in our current squad as well. We must be careful not to make false promises, not to deceive anyone and do the work we must do. We are calm. We have an ownership that, even in this case, our president deserves more respect because he has always respected his commitments“.
