Report: AC Milan have agreement in principle with Icardi

Former Inter captain Mauro Icardi could return to Italy to join AC Milan, claims a sensational reports from Spain.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic continues, even at 39, to be as lethal as even in front of the goal. The Swedish  champion is the true leader of today’s AC Milan squad. However, in less than a year Ibra will see his lavish contract with the Rossoneri expire. At the age of 40, the striker could decide to retire or close his career elsewhere, unless Milan find another agreement to keep him for one more year.

Meanwhile, sensational rumors are coming from Spain regarding the possible replacement of Ibrahimovic. It seems that the Rossoneri are talking with Mauro Icardi’s entourage, to bring the talented striker back to Italy.

The former Inter captain plays for PSG today. But so far he has not thrilled in the French league and has often been excluded from the starting lineup. Last season, the former Inter scored 20 goals in 34 appearances with PSG.

The agent and wife Wanda Nara would love to return to Italy and is therefore ready to find another accommodation for Icardi in 2021. According to Todofichajes.com, AC Milan have already reached an agreement in principle with Mauro Icardi. An important factor in this decision seems to be the strong desire of the Argentine striker to return in Serie A.

The 27-year-old centre forward would cost AC Milan around 40 million euros. A considerable transfer fee that the Rossoneri could afford only after Champions League qualification. Could Icardi be the name Ivan Gazidis had in mind when he promised the signing of ‘best talent in the world’? Only time will tell.
