AC Milan prepare €15m bid plus Musacchio for defender

AC Milan have not lost sight of Bologna’s Takehiro Tomiyasu and are reportedly preparing an improved bid for the Japanese defender.

It is no mystery that AC Milan tried to sign Takehiro Tomiyasu during the summer transfer window. However, Bologna refused the offer put on the table by Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara.

The Rossoneri reportedly continue to monitor the Japanese defender, who is highly appreciated for his tactical flexibility. In fact, the 21-year-old talent can play as central defender and full-back. Despite being in his first year in Serie A last season, Tomiyasu did very well and still has considerable room for improvement.

According to reports from Spain, AC Milan will soon present a new offer to Bologna. The Rossoneri will offer 15 million euros for Tomiyasu plus Mateo Musacchio, whose contract will Milan expires in June 2021.

Bologna rate the Japanese international at around 25 million but are willing to negotiate his sale. The eventual Milan proposal could approach this price, even if Bologna will have to consider the possibility of taking Musacchio.

The former Villarreal defender has had several injuries in recent seasons and receives a salary of around 2 million net per year. A very high salary considering the difficult financial situation many clubs are currently facing.
