AC Milan close to first January sale

Celtic Glasgow are looking to sign Diego Laxalt on a permanent deal while AC Milan would prefer to include defender Kristoffer Ajer in talks.

Near the end of the summer transfer window AC Milan loaned Diego Laxalt to Celtic Glasgow. The Uruguayan full back has immediately become a regular starter in Scotland and is playing a key part for Celtic.

In the last match against Hibernian, Laxalt scored his first goal with Celtic confirming his good form so far. The Scotland giants are quite pleased with the 27-year-old and want to keep him for much longer at Celtic Park.

AC Milan would be more than happy to negotiate the permanent transfer of Diego Laxalt to Celtic and are interested to discuss a number of solution. In fact, rather than getting a fee from his sale, the Rossoneri would prefer to include the Uruguay full back in a s swap deal for Kristoffer Ajer.

AC Milan are looking to sign a new centre back and the Norway international sits high on Massara and Maldini’s lit of targets. The Rossoneri have been following Ajer for the last year but were unable to lower Celtic’s asking price under 20 million euros.

The 22-year-old centre back has a contract with Celtic until 2022 but has publicly declared he’s looking for a new challenge. His agent confirmed talks with Milan during the summer. Now, the sale of Laxalt, represents a great opportunity for the Rossoneri to discuss again the signing of Kristoffer Ajer. The parties are expected to meet during the Europa League clash between the two clubs on 3 December at San Siro.
