AC Milan to pay Roma midfielder’s release clause
Roma 22 year old midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini could join AC Milan with the Rossoneri determined to pay his release clause in June.
AC Milan were planning to make a couple of important signings in the January transfer window but UEFA changed that. The administrative body of European football has forced the Rossoneri to make minimal spending in the summer. That’s why the potential signing of Lorenzo Pellegrini must be discussed only in the summer.
Fabregas was Milan’s top choice in midfield but the Spaniard seems destined to join Monaco instead. Unless Milan make an important sale very soon. The 22 year old central midfielder is one of the most talented youngsters of Serie A and an Italy international since 2017. According to Il Corriere della Sera, Milan are considering a move for Pellegrini in June. The Roma star has a 30 million euros release clause and with the backing of Elliott Milan would like to pay it. Champions League qualification would facilitate this transfer a lot.
Pellegrini is a typical box-to-box midfielder able to contribute a lot in attack and also act as a visionary regista orchestrating the game. Renowned for his ball control, stamina, elegant movements, as well as his eye for goal, Lorenzo is one of the most competed midfielders in the Italian league.
