TS: AC Milan put two wingers on the market

Not only signings, a couple of AC Milan players could leave this summer to make room for new arrivals.

AC Milan are bracing for a summer revolution. RedBird Capital are set to become the new owners of the Rossoneri club with Gerry Cardinale signing the preliminary closing agreement with Elliott Management. The American leadership will continue at the club but significant changes are expected on the mercato.

Besides a number of signings, several players could leave AC Milan this summer. Important changes will take place in attack. Tuttosport reports that Alexis Saelemaekers and Ante Rebic could pay the price for an underwhelming season. AC Milan have put both wingers on the market.

In October, Alexis Saelemaekers inked a new five-year deal with AC Milan. However, his form has been disappointing ever since. The Belgian is not a goal scorer despite playing in an advanced role and this aspect is a problem for the Rossoneri who have often struggled for goals this season.

AC Milan have set a price tag of €20 million for Saelemaekers who ended the season with 2 goals and 3 assists in 46 appearances across all competitions. Ante Rebic had similar numbers but he spent the majority of the season on the sidelines for various injuries.

Rebic lacked firepower unlike in the first two season. The Croatian is no longer a regular starter with Rafael Leao cementing his undisputed status on the left wing. Rebic could return to Germany with Wolfsburg very interested in his services. Signed for €6.7 million as part of the Andre Silva deal, Rebic could bring AC Milan a healthy profit.
