TS: Pobega could be key in Belotti’s signing

AC Milan could be Andrea Belotti’s next club but the Rossoneri will try to anticipate his arrival for January by using Tommaso Pogeba.

The future of Andrea Belotti is already written. The Torino captain will not renew his contract with the Granata club and will become a free agent at the end of the season. Despite Torino’s best efforts, the Italian striker has chosen to join a new club and fight for silverware after rejecting their 3.5 million per season offer.

At 27, Belotti wants to play in the Champions League and challenge for trophies something that Torino can not guarantee. AC Milan are believed to be the most likely destination for Belotti with contacts between the parties already underway.

Tuttosport reports that AC Milan will be the next club of Andrea Belotti but the Rossoneri may not wait until the summer to acquire his services. All three AC Milan strikers, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Olivier Giroud and Pietro Pellegri have had continuous physical problems so far forcing Paolo Maldini to consider the signing of a new striker in January.

According to Tuttosport, AC Milan will make an attempt to sign Belotti in advance but without paying a transfer fee. In fact, the Rossoneri could offer to extend the loan of Tommaso Pogeba for one more season in order to have Belotti immediately under Pioli’s orders in January.

Tommaso Pogeba has immediately become a key player for Torino earning the praise of coach Ivan Juric. He is a regular starter in Juric’s eleven and has found the back of the net two times on 7 appearances so far. This solution could be tailored to the needs of both clubs considering that Milan need a new striker and Torino are aware they will not be able to keep Belotti.
