Milan vs Sampdoria, probable lineups

AC Milan face Marco Giampaolo’s Sampdoria. The Rossoneri want to continue their hot streak with another victory.

Today, AC Milan will host Sampdoria at San Siro. Milan vs Sampdoria is a return to the past for the Rossoneri who will face their former coach Marco Giampaolo. The brief adventure of Giampaolo at the helm of Milan last only seven matches.

The Rossoneri have been on fire recently defeating Inter and Lazio. For Milan vs Sampdoria, Pioli has only one doubt in attack. In defence it will be Davide Calabria to replace the suspended Theo Hernandez. Calabria will be moved to the left with Alessandro Florenzi playing on the right. Alessio Romagnoli and Fikayo Tomori complete the back four with Mike Maignan between the posts.

Sandro Tonali is touchable in midfield. The Italian youngster has become a pillar of the squad. Once gain he will partner with Franck Kessie. The Ivorian remains higher in the pecking order with Ismael Bennacer set to wait for his chance in the second half.

The Italian coach has yet to decide who will be the right winger against Sampdoria. Both Alexis Saelemaekers and Junior Messias have been inconsistent recently but the Belgium is slightly in advantage over the Brazilian winger.

Rafael Leao will play on the right with Brahim Diaz in the attacking midfielder role. Once again Olivier Giroud will lead the attack. The French striker scored a brace in the derby and in Cup. Certainly Giroud aims to capitalize on his recent form even against Sampdoria. Zlatan Ibrahimovic will be unavailable.
